The purpose of this policy is to ensure that construction and maintenance work undertaken by Contractors at your organization will be completed in a healthy and safe manner. Taking into consideration of all hazards present at the site or associated with the work to be performed and in compliance with the Nova Scotia OHS Act and regulations and the requirements of your organization’s Safety Management System.
This policy does not apply to:
- “supply and deliver” contracts where work is not undertaken at a your organization; or
- Lower risk work by contract consultants, such as lawyers, accountants, human resource consultants, health practitioners and clerical staff unless they enter the area where the construction or maintenance work is being performed.
