SECTION 7: SAFE WORK PROCEDURES AND PRACTICES
A safe work procedure (SWP) is a step by step sequence of instructions on how to complete a task safely. SWPs outline the hazards, risks and control measures to be applied to ensure the tasks/activity being performed to reduce the risk of injury. In comparison, a Safe Work Practice is a guideline of do’s and don’ts.
